OUR PRINCIPLES
A workplace where everyone is respected
Freely chosen employment
We prohibit violence, threats, confinement, debt-bonded labor and human trafficking. We do not require workers to surrender original identity documents or pay recruitment fees, and we protect freedom to leave employment and freedom of movement.
Protecting children and young workers
We verify age at recruitment and comply with the legal minimum working age. Young workers are restricted from hazardous work. If child labor is identified, we consider remedies that protect education and livelihoods.
Equal opportunity
We prohibit unjustified discrimination in recruitment, pay, training, assignment and promotion. Pregnancy, childbirth and childcare must not result in disadvantage, and we respect diversity.
Fair working conditions
We provide written terms of employment and comply with requirements for working time, rest breaks, holidays and statutory pay. We apply fair compensation principles for work of equal value.
Freedom of association and a voice at work
We respect trade union membership and legitimate activities. We maintain channels through which workers can freely express views on working conditions.
Preventing harassment and providing remedies
We prohibit workplace bullying, sexual harassment and inhumane treatment. We protect people who report concerns or assist investigations, and apply appropriate investigation, remedy and recurrence-prevention procedures.
When rights need protection
If an issue arises, the affected person's wishes and safety come first. Matters that are difficult to raise with the officer may be sent directly to the CEO. Our procedures do not restrict access to external remedies through relevant authorities.
