Defining the fire-safety application
Describe the substrate, intended use, assembly and applicable performance requirements. Identify the exact product and the test evidence needed for that intended use with your technical team.

- Product or component drawing and substrate information
- Existing surface treatment and proposed coating area
- Available application and curing equipment
- Operating environment and required quality checks
- Sample quantity, target schedule and evaluation criteria
Product data and limitations
Request the current technical and safety data for the proposed formulation. Film thickness, curing conditions and applicable substrates must be confirmed for the specific product and process. A test result must be checked against its product, specimen construction, method and intended application; a coating name alone does not establish the performance of an assembly.
